Tips & Tricks

  • Do not saute garlic for too long. Once is turns brown, it starts tasting bitter.
  • Before chopping an onion for a meal, place it in the freezer (I've heard anywhere from 15-45 has always seemed to work for me either way). When you go to chop, it won't make your eyes tear up as bad.
  • Place an apple in a bag of potatoes to keep the potatoes from forming those gross buds.
